Clairmont have been providing environment improvements to care homes and hospitals for over 10 years. During this time we have upgraded many facilities to make life easier for those living with dementia.
A major care home group asked us to improve the environment of a newly refurbished care home, our design team looked at the long internal corridors and decided upon themes of an art gallery and music shops at the ends of the longest corridor which is about 50m long.
Following completion of the project we had feedback from the home to say that two ladies had been seen discussing the paintings at length showing that our ideas do work and can help promote discussion and interaction between residents, staff and visitors.
Grpahics and murals can be used as a turn around area to provide a point of interest at the end of a corridor or destination and also as somewhere once visited will be a natural area to walk away. For example a post box can be used to disguise a fire exit door and also produced a point of interest.
Along with door and wall murals we can also provide door furniture and wall decoration.
